Responsibilities
Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support patients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety and comfort.
Monitor and record patients' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff.
Help with meal preparation and feeding as required, ensuring dietary needs are met.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in patient areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Provide emotional support to patients and their families, fostering a positive environment.
Assist healthcare professionals in carrying out medical procedures as needed.
Participate in training sessions and continuous professional development to enhance skills.
Skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
Empathy and compassion towards patients' needs and concerns.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to work independently when required.
Basic understanding of healthcare practices and terminology is advantageous but not essential.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining patient records and care plans.
