Our specialty Centres include Imaging and Diagnostics, Pharmacy, Orthopaedics and Neurology, Endoscopy, Heart and Lung Health, ENT & Skin Health, Women's and Men's Health, Digestive Health and Health Assessment and Longevity.

Welbeck Health Partners are developing several other Centres across the UK and internationally.

The Opportunity



We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our team at OneWelbeck Orthopaedics & Neurology, working within the new Minimally Invasive Procedure Suite. The HCA will work under the supervision of registered practitioners as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering safe, effective, and high-quality care to patients undergoing pain management, minor orthopaedic procedures, and infusion therapies. This role is ideal for someone looking to build their experience in a supportive and innovative surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities



Work as part of a skilled theatre team to support the provision of an effective and safe clinical service Support the delivery of a safe, effective environment of care for patients, relatives and carers, under supervision Assist registered practitioners and consultants in delivering direct and indirect patient care Undertake a range of delegated peri-operative duties, including accurate record keeping and specimen handling Assist with the checking of sterilised equipment and ensure all associated paperwork is completed accurately Communicate effectively with the peri-operative team, patients and carers, providing compassionate support and escalating concerns as needed Support patients with personal needs while maintaining their dignity (e.g. undressing, emotional support, chaperoning) Act as a positive role model to peers and support fellow HCAs as required Maintain professional conduct at all times and demonstrate respect toward colleagues Safely handle equipment, wheelchairs, and trolleys in accordance with moving and handling guidelines Assist in monitoring stock levels and notifying senior staff of low supplies Participate in patient transfer and positioning audits to promote safe handling practices Attend mandatory training sessions and contribute to a safe and supportive team culture

Candidate Profile



A minimum of 1 year experience in a theatre setting (essential) Current BLS certification (essential) Experience in providing safe and effective intraoperative service in various specialities (desirable)

Pay: 28,000.00-31,000.00 per year
