The Role
We are looking for a committed and knowledgeable Health & Social Care Lecturer to join a supportive and forward-thinking teaching team. In this role, you will help shape learners' futures by delivering high-quality, engaging lessons and providing valuable support throughout their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver Health & Social Care lessons across Levels 1-3
Support and guide learners in both academic and practical environments
Monitor and track student progress, offering constructive and timely feedback
Develop and assess course materials in line with awarding body requirements
Stay informed about sector developments to enhance teaching practice
Work collaboratively with colleagues on curriculum planning and quality assurance
Foster a positive, inclusive, and professional learning environment
Education, Skills & Requirements
A relevant qualification in Health & Social Care (e.g., Degree, NVQ Level 3+, Nursing or Social Work background)
A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent), or willingness to work towards one
Experience of teaching within a Further Education or a similar educational setting
Strong understanding of safeguarding practices and current industry standards
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills
Enhanced DBS Certificate
