Healthcare Assistant
to join our dynamic and family orientated Endoscopy team.
Our services include gastroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, cystoscopy, hysteroscopy and urodynamic procedures. We also provide phlebotomy, pre-assessment and outpatient clinics for the above specialities.

The
Endoscopy Healthcare Assistants
work a busy role in a fast-paced environment, providing that individual patient centred care coupled with that efficient and effective service to referring GP's!
This is a permanent full-time position
Working on a rota pattern spread across Monday to Friday
07:30 to 18:30 x 3 days
Plus
One 6-hour shift either morning or afternoon to suite needs of the service
What you'll be doing
As one of our
Endoscopy Healthcare Assistants
, you will be working alongside the team supporting in providing high quality patient centred care. You'll be responsible for all the departmental cleaning and assist with stock management, equipment checking before and after each clinic.
Being an
Endoscopy Healthcare Assistant
will see you lead the outpatient clinics alongside the consultant. You'll support the team in admissions and recovery and will be an asset to the department and a patient advocate at their most vulnerable time.
You'll assist prepare clinical areas for clinical activities to ensure the smooth running of the Endoscopy Unit. You will be expected to keep an up-to-date good practice, maintain core competencies and continue to develop skills appropriate to the Endoscopy practice. Adhere to good record keeping in line with Practice Plus Group policies and procedures.
What we'll look for in you
It is envisaged that the appointed Healthcare Assistant will have past working experience a hospital / clinical environment and might have already completed the NVQ level 1&2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
You'll be an effective communicator at all levels, both written and verbal with strong IT skills, being familiar with MS Office tools and able to pick up new systems easily.
