Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to residents in care homes or individuals receiving home care services. This role involves assisting with daily activities, ensuring the well-being of clients, and maintaining effective communication with the care team. Responsibilities

Support residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance Assist with the preparation and administration of care plans tailored to individual needs Monitor and record health conditions, reporting any changes to senior staff promptly Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life Assist with light domestic tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment Support with medication reminders as directed by healthcare professionals Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with organisational policies

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving home visits Compassionate nature with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care Ability to work effectively within a team and independently when required Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Awareness of safeguarding procedures and health & safety regulations
