Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and customer service, as well as the ability to operate an artic (curtain sider)

Duties

Operate a curtain side lorry for the delivery of goods to various locations. Ensure that all loads are secured properly before departure. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times, locations, and any issues encountered during transport. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays. Assist in loading and unloading goods as required. Maintain a clean and organised vehicle at all times. Nights out free tax allowance if could not make it back to the operating centre. 28 days holiday.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E). Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with curtain side lorries. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Good communication skills for interacting with customers and team members. A commitment to safety practices in all aspects of driving.
