Part-timeWe have a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual to join our Front Office department as a PART TIME (20 hours per week - rota) Receptionist/ General assistant. Within this role you will need to achieve our financial and customer satisfaction goals. You will be part of a challenging department in achieving high standard of customer care, creating the ultimate customer experience within our busy and vibrant hotel. Key aspects to the role are as follows:
To ensure 100% guest satisfaction at all times
To lead in efficient, prompt and trouble free customer service
To work as a team to achieving departments and hotel targets
To act as an ambassador for the hotel
To ensuring that guests' expectations are constantly met & exceeded.
Welcome guests to the hotel.
Respond to customer requests for information about the hotel and its surroundings.
Handle and co-ordinate difficult situations effectively.
Process all guest check-ins, check-outs, room assignments, and room change/late check-out requests.
Secure payment; activate/reissue room keys.
Ensure rates match market codes, document exceptions.
Verify/adjust billing for guests.
Communicate to appropriate staff when guests are waiting for an available room. Coordinate with Housekeeping to track room status and guest concerns. File guest paperwork or documentation. Operate telephone switchboard station.
Run and check daily reports, contingency lists, and credit card authorization reports. Supply guests with directions and information.
Answer, record, and process all guest calls, requests, questions, or concerns; follow up to ensure each has been met to guests' satisfaction. Arrange transportation for guests/visitors.
Count and secure bank at beginning and end of shift.
Cash guests' checks, process all payment types, vouchers, paid-outs, charges, and provide change.
Notify Security of any reports of theft
Be fully conversant with hotel's credit policy.

Previous experience in a similar position preferred
Previous experience of using Microsoft Office and Excel is advantageous
Experience in a front of house position within a hotel
An excellent team player with strong communication skills, you will have a passion for delivering a great customer experience.
The ideal candidate will have a positive approach, excellent organisational skills, and passion for producing high quality customer care.
