HPS are an established insurance repair contractor covering the North East of England.

We are seeking a surveyor with experience of the insurance industry to assist with a growing workload from our clients. We are an approved contractor for several Insurance Companies and several Building Repair Networks so receive work direct from them. We also work with surveying and engineering companies.

You will be responsible for visiting properties that have had damage arising from insurance claims for all perils including subsidence.

In some cases you will determine the cause of damage and validate the claim including discussing the decision with the insured. In some instances, this will include agreeing cash settlements.

Where we have been provided with a validated, prescoped claim, you will visit the property to assess whether the scope covers all works required and if necessary submit a variation for any missed works.

In other instances, you will prepare reports for Insurers containing photos, measurements and costs using the relevant system for the Insurer. Such systems include xactimate and symbility so experience of them would be an advantage although training will be given if required.

You will also be required to price and submit competitive tenders for larger jobs.

Once repairs are approved, you will hand on the file to the contracts manager who will arrange repairs.

You should have good knowledge of construction and also the insurance industry along with good computer and communication skills.

Competitive salary based upon experience

Pay: 30,000.00-45,000.00 per year
