We are seeking a proactive and organised individual to join our Family Hubs team as an Interim Business Support Officer (BSO) for a 6-month period. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to vital frontline services that support families across our community hubs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide reception and frontline support to families visiting the hubs
- Complete and scan registration forms, manage asbestos forms, and collect footfall data
- Handle deliveries, room bookings, and hospitality logistics
- Issue foodbank vouchers, petty cash, and housing support funds
- Act as designated fire marshal and first aider
- Provide in-person ICT and technical assistance
- Organise flyers/posters and manage archiving
- Respond to Dudley Council Plus enquiries
Person Specification: Essential:
- Ability to work in-person across multiple hub locations
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Experience in customer-facing roles
- Confidence in handling sensitive information and safeguarding protocols
- Ability to manage competing priorities and respond to urgent operational needs
Desirable:
- Familiarity with local authority services and multi-agency working
- Experience in data entry, reporting, and compliance tracking
- Knowledge of Family Hub services and community engagement
