WithYou are recruiting for an experienced Technology leader, to join us in this newly created role, as a key member of our Finance and Resources directorate. We are looking for a collaborative and innovative individual, who will design and enable a future-fit technology function that supports business delivery and transformation. This is a full time, fixed term contract for 12 months, working predominantly from home.
WithYou is a drug, alcohol and mental health charity employing over 1,600 staff. With over 80 services across England and Scotland, we provide support and advice without judgement to more than 100,000 people a year.
At WithYou, we work with people on their own goals, whether that's staying safe and healthy, making small changes or stopping an unwanted habit altogether. We give people support in a way that's right for them either face to face in their local service, community or online. We use our expertise to improve the help available and raise awareness around drugs, alcohol and mental health so that more people can get support.
The postholder will be responsible for leading, shaping and delivering With You's future technology strategy, creating a blueprint for a scalable, future-proofed architecture and embedding robust, but pragmatic governance. You will design an enterprise architecture roadmap that is scalable, secure and adaptive to changing organisational needs, whilst ensuring technology decisions support service delivery, data-driven operations and long-term cost efficiency.
Other priorities include:
Reviewing all existing IT policies and processes
Embedding frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001 and ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library)
Lead platform rationalisation initiatives to reduce cost and complexity
Oversee the consolidation of our IT environment, supporting migration towards a unified operating ecosystem

Essential Skills
The most important thing you can bring to this role is clear and inspirational direction, to grow this new role and provide highly technical advice and guidance to the wider organisation, across multiple sites. We are most interested in your drive and ability to create impact and are keen to learn more about how you will use your expertise to lead the way in IT transformation.
You should also have:
Relevant experience in a similar senior role where you have implemented IT strategies
Experience in tender negotiation and IT purchasing, as well as in supplier and contract management
Significant IT Service and Project Management experience
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to quickly establish credibility and/or make a positive impact
