Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in joinery and be proficient in various construction techniques. This role involves fabricating and assembling wooden structures, as well as performing repairs and maintenance on existing installations. The Joiner will work closely with other tradespeople to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, including doors, windows, and furniture. Perform joinery tasks with precision, ensuring all measurements are accurate. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks. Carry out masonry work as required, including bricklaying and plastering. Conduct electrical installations related to joinery projects where necessary. Assist in roofing projects, ensuring proper installation of materials. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Perform heavy lifting as needed during the fabrication and installation processes. Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time and to specification. Carry out painting tasks on finished products as required.

Skills

Proficient in joinery techniques with a strong understanding of woodworking principles. Experience with hand tools and power tools essential for joinery work. Knowledge of electrical systems related to construction is advantageous. Ability to perform masonry tasks effectively is a plus. Strong physical fitness for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow technical drawings accurately. Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
