Assists in the preparation and serving of nutritious, well-balanced, attractive meals in accordance with Service User's individual needs. Ensuring special diets are catered for high / low calorie diets, puree diet.
Handles and stores food in accordance with Food Hygiene regulations.
Uses cleaning materials in accordance with COSHH regulations.
Prepares meal trays and lays tables and collects trays and clears tables after meal times. Encouraging service user participation.
Cleans all work surfaces, equipment, fridges, ovens and floors and stores items correctly.
Ensures store rooms are well organised and clean.
Washes crockery and cutlery or stacks dishwasher.
Any concerns regarding maintenance issues regarding equipment must be reported immediately to maintenance man or the estates team.
