Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for culinary excellence, ensuring that food safety standards are met while providing an exceptional dining experience. This role requires a hands-on approach to food preparation, staff management, and maintaining a well-organised kitchen environment.

Duties

Manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the kitchen. Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment. Develop menus that reflect current trends while meeting customer preferences and dietary requirements. Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction. Implement cost control measures to optimise kitchen efficiency without compromising quality. Maintain equipment in good working order and coordinate repairs as necessary.

Requirements

Proven experience in a culinary role with leadership responsibilities in a kitchen environment. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional customer service. Proficiency in food production techniques and culinary arts. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in bartending is an advantage but not essential. Strong communication skills to effectively lead a diverse team.
