Christmas is Coming

and at the Broadway Hotel we do Christmas well with parties booked from mid November - We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team and support us in delivering great parties to our guests from approx 15th November until Christmas. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness and organisation while assisting with food preparation and service. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in a fast-paced culinary environment, whether you have prior restaurant, hotel, or culinary experience.

Duties

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the chefs, including chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients. Support cooking staff during service by ensuring all necessary equipment and utensils are readily available. Keep kitchen equipment clean and in good working order, reporting any maintenance issues promptly. Assist in receiving deliveries and storing food items properly to maintain freshness and safety standards. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment. Participate in regular cleaning schedules to maintain high hygiene standards throughout the kitchen.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm for the role is key. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. A passion for hospitality and delivering excellent service to customers. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Pay: 12.21-14.00 per hour
