About the Role

We are currently looking to appoint a

KS3 and GCSE English tutor

to join our growing tutoring team in Derby. This role involves teaching small groups of students during weekend sessions and supporting them with subject understanding, confidence, and exam preparation.

The position suits qualified teachers who are looking for flexible, part-time work in a structured environment that values organisation, professionalism, and high teaching standards.

Key Duties

Plan and deliver engaging KS3 and GCSE English sessions Support students with exam skills, literacy, and subject confidence Maintain a focused, respectful classroom environment Follow agreed teaching approaches and internal procedures Work collaboratively with the wider team Maintain professional standards, including safeguarding expectations.

Essential Criteria

Applicants must:

Hold QTS or a recognised PGCE Have the legal right to work in the UK Be based in or able to travel to Derby Be confident teaching KS3 and GCSE English Demonstrate strong organisation and communication skills Be reliable, punctual, and professional
