Equans is looking for a Labourer to join our team in Leeds on a permanent basis working to turn around empty properties across the city. This is a full time role working within Social Housing. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package




General Overview





To provide support to the voids team by carrying out labouring duties, washing down properties, and transporting materials, tools, and waste between sites in a safe and efficient manner. Ensure properties are prepared to a high standard for handover.


What will you deliver?






Driving Duties Safely operate company vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and waste between void properties and designated skip and recycling locations. Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects. Ensure compliance with road safety and company driving policies. Labouring Duties Assist tradespeople with general tasks on void properties. Carry out basic site clearance, removal of waste, and segregation for disposal. Load and unload materials and equipment. Washing Down & Property Preparation Clean and wash down kitchens, bathrooms, and surfaces after works are completed. Damp and Mold wash downs Ensure properties are tidy and ready for inspection or handover. Use appropriate cleaning products and follow COSHH guidelines. Health & Safety Adhere to all site safety rules and PPE requirements. Report hazards, near misses, and incidents promptly. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Other Duties Support the team with ad-hoc tasks as required. Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.

Who are we looking for?






Full UK driving licence (essential). Previous experience in labouring or property maintenance (desirable). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good understanding of health & safety practices.
