The Anglian Water Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) project currently involves the planning, design and construction of circa 320km of new strategic, large diameter, clean water interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure across Anglian Water's region. The SPA Alliance is also taking on responsibility for the future interconnector pipelines, a further 260km of strategic interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure.
The Land Referencers play a key role in the successful delivery of the Strategic Pipeline Alliance, being part of the Land team reporting to the Land Programme Manager.
The role will be flexible / hybrid working from office or home, with site visits across the region as and when required.

Undertake key land referencing activities to support the project in line with the Water Industry Act 1991, such as:
+ Identifying legal interests in land, including freeholders, leaseholders, tenants and rights by researching and compiling land ownership records using HMLR, Local authorities and other such methods/ points of contact.
+ Carry out site visits and door knocking exercises to confirm land ownership/ interest details etc.
+ Work with GIS/ GIS resource to ensure that landownership extents are correctly captured on the GIS platform
Manage and request land access for surveys (non-intrusive and intrusive), to support EIA requirements, and construction activities:
+ Work with relevant discipline to understand access requirements and ensure that requests are made and obtained in line with the survey request timescales and processes
+ Prepare, review and issue notices (where required) for surveys and intrusive works
+ Maintain accurate communication records using the land management contact logging tool
Support access requirements at later stages with management of landowner consultation and notice service in line with the Water Industry Act 1991:
+ Work collaboratively with the projects retained agents and agricultural liaison officers to manage and track landowner consultation in line with the delivery programme.
+ Identify and report risks to access, and potential causes of delay
Provide support to the agricultural liaison officers during the construction phase:
+ Assisting in resolving any identified risks or landowner concerns
+ Reviewing access routes and associated requirements to ensure continuity of access
+ Attending meetings to review progress
Strong Administrative skills, including attention to detail
Strong Microsoft (word, excel and powerpoint) skills and knowledge
Able to research and investigate to identify the relevant interest in a land parcel
Working collaboratively as part of a team and/or use own initiative
Are engaging and enthusiastic individual that can form relationships at ease and is an excellent communicator who can build and sustain relationships with the project teams and external stakeholders (inc. farmers and residents)
Willing to travel and be located at the scheme location when required to carry out site visits in line with the referencing exercises.
Has experience of being part of a large-scale infrastructure programme, in particular ones that have an impact on agricultural businesses.
Has a can-do attitude and enthusiasm to innovate and get the job done!
