THE SALARY FOR THIS POST IS BASED ON 28,500K PRO RATA WORKING 40 WEEKS PER YEAR. TIME OFF IS WITHIN THE CORE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS WORKING 1 WEEK SPLIT ACROSS EASTER & MAY HALF TERM. THIS MEANS YOU WILL EARN BEFORE TAX: 25,000 A YEAR.



This is a fixed term contract for 22 months with the potential for extension pending contract outcomes.



WORKING MONDAY - THURSDAY 8:30am - 5pm and FRIDAY 8:30am - 2:30pm

several opportunities within our alternative settings based across Pembrokeshire.

We are looking for passionate tutors / educators who want to work with young people aged 11-16 within our dynamic, alternative learning team, inspiring young people to leave education with life skills and grades to build a positive future.

We are looking for individuals who can inspire and deliver engaging content to a range of young people whilst delivering a range of alternative qualifications. We are specifically looking for Lead Tutors who can deliver Literacy skills , Numeracy skills, Employability skills, Life skills but if you have other skills from the desired list below it would be beneficial to the role (experience in all areas is

required but experience in delivering tutoring and / or teaching in groups is essential for this role):

You must have GCSE C grades or above in English, Maths and / or Numeracy. You must have either a Level 3 Education and Teaching Award qualification (or above) OR Equivalent Teaching / Training certificate to deliver our qualifications.



As a Lead Curriculum Tutor, you will work with young people every day in groups of up to 12 pupils, delivering a structured curriculum that is already written and fully digitised (you will receive induction training to deliver).

Your role will be to manage an inspiring learning environment, to tutor / teach an exciting curriculum to support our young people to achieve educational grades and rewarding qualifications that will really make a huge difference to their lives.

We are looking for resilient, focused and fun, team players, who can manage challenging pupil behaviour, build relationships with young people, and be calm and adaptable under pressure. Successful candidates will manage a caseload of pupils who are at varying stages of their learning journey. You will need to be able to forge relationships with your pupils quickly to get the work completed in a timely manner in a group or 1-2-1 setting.

You will be required to deliver a range of curriculum targets and outputs across the academic year completing tasks, assignments and portfolio work with pupils. You will be required to maintain and complete pupil records i.e training activity, assignments and assessments in line with the company processes and procedures and you will work closely with your team taking direction from the Centre Manager, Learning Development Manager & Curriculum Supervisor in relation to all aspects of the role that includes hitting outputs and accreditation matters.

We don't mind if you have been in education / teaching and are looking for a new challenge, or if you have experience working in the post 16 / training world that you want to pass onto the next generation of young people. To do this role you do need to have experience in teaching or training groups of young people. You must be professional, passionate and positive about educating young people for life in the future, whilst understanding that our pupils are far from perfect (but who of us is perfect..)
