We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lead Dental Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting dentists during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental practice. This position requires strong organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both patients and staff.
Duties
Assist dentists during examinations and treatments, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance.
Provide high-quality patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
Sterilise instruments and maintain a clean and organised clinical environment to adhere to health and safety standards.
Manage appointment scheduling, including confirming patient visits and following up on treatment plans as necessary.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote overall dental health.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and excellent patient experiences.
Support other nurses qualified and trainees.
Monitor compliance on DCME.
Experience
Previous experience as a Dental Nurse training will be provided for the right candidate. Ideally carried out some previous additional duties.
Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and understanding.
Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with patients and colleagues.
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with IT systems related to dental practices is advantageous.
