We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic freelance Lead Youth Worker to join our team. You will be working with volunteers who currently run the sessions. We are looking for someone that has a passion for working within the youth sector and can plan and initiate ideas and activities to make the sessions varied and interesting.
Fridays 6-9pm in Uckfield and 1 hour admin/prep at your convenience. .
Responsibilities
Develop and implement engaging activities that promote learning and personal growth.
Assist in creating a safe and inclusive environment for all participants, ensuring their well-being at all times.
Facilitate group activities that encourage teamwork, communication, and social skills development.
Monitor the progress of youth participants, providing feedback and guidance as necessary.
Fill out session plans and debriefs, keep up to date registers and member data.
Experience
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with young people from diverse backgrounds.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution is necessary.
Relevant qualifications in youth work or education would be advantageous but are not mandatory.
