The School of Social Sciences at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) is seeking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Psychology (1.0 FTE) for a 12-month fixed-term post. We welcome applications from candidates with expertise across core areas of Psychology, with preference for those able to contribute to teaching and supervision in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, and/or Health Psychology, and confident using Qualitative Research Methods. The successful applicant will have experience of teaching on British Psychological Society (BPS)-accredited undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and a commitment to high-quality, inclusive and innovative learning, teaching, assessment, and supervision

The post is based within the interdisciplinary School of Social Sciences within the College of Health, Science and Society . Our staff are professional practitioners and researchers at the forefront of their specialist areas. Our students benefit from their cutting-edge insight, practical experience and innovative approaches to teaching. We collaborate closely with employers and stakeholders to ensure that our curricula remain current, topical, and relevant to societal needs.

Appointment will be made at Lecturer (G grade) or Senior Lecturer (H grade) level depending on qualifications and experience.

About you



You will join an enthusiastic and supportive team within the Department of Psychology, contributing to our undergraduate and postgraduate Psychology programmes. You will be able to teach and assess across BPS-accredited core areas, with particular strengths in clinical, health and/or qualitative approaches, and to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate dissertation projects.

You will also contribute to the development and enhancement of engaging learning experiences for our diverse student community.

This is a fixed-term (12 months) post and full-time working on a 1.0 FTE contract.
