Job Description
This Legal Counsel role involves advising on a wide range of banking and finance transactions, including investment grade lending, real estate finance, structured projects, and trade finance, while managing legal risk and ensuring regulatory compliance. You'll draft and negotiate documentation, support new product approvals, and provide guidance on commercial contracts and regulatory developments.
You'll play a key role in managing legal risk and supporting business teams across diverse products, including:
- Investment grade lending
- Real estate finance
- Structured project and infrastructure finance
- Trade finance and related FX/interest rate hedging
- This position also involves advising on commercial contracts, property matters, and regulatory developments.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified solicitor with experience in general lending and banking & finance
- Familiarity with LMA documentation and UK banking regulations
- Ability to manage transactions at a junior - mid level and liaise with external counsel
- Strong communication skills and ability to prioritise competing demands
- Approx. NQ - 4 years PQE
- Salary ranging from 60,000 to 75,000 per annum depending on candidate experience
