We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our healthcare team at Alpha & Omega. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and have comprehensive knowledge of pharmacology, anatomy, and medication administration. This role offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to patient well-being within a dynamic clinical environment offering a great range of NHS and Private Pharmacy services. The successful applicant will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, providing expert advice on drug therapies, and supporting the overall health of our patients.
Independent Prescribing Qualification is desirable but not essential.
Duties
Dispense prescription medications accurately in accordance with medical prescriptions and legal requirements
Provide expert guidance and counselling to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
Confident with the NHS Pharmacy First Scheme
Confident with NHS Local services
Maintain meticulous records of prescriptions, patient information, and medication inventories
Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, safety, and professional standards
Stay updated on the latest developments in pharmacology, including new medications and treatment protocols
Experience
Proven experience as a Pharmacist within a community, clinical or hospital pharmacy setting.
Independent Prescribing Qualification is desirable but not essential.
Strong background in patient care, demonstrating empathy and excellent communication skills
In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to pharmacological treatments
Demonstrated expertise in medication administration procedures and safety protocols
Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) is essential
