We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatrist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive mental health services across diverse patient populations, including children, geriatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities
Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for patients across different age groups, including pediatrics and geriatrics
Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating psychopharmacology, psychotherapy (psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy), and crisis management strategies
Provide inpatient, outpatient, and telehealth psychiatric services ensuring continuity of care
Manage medication prescriptions and monitor patient responses to optimize therapeutic outcomes
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive behavioral health services
Document all patient interactions accurately within medical records while maintaining HIPAA compliance
Engage in patient intake processes, follow-up assessments, and ongoing treatment adjustments
Work with patients experiencing PTSD, addiction issues, developmental disabilities, or other complex mental health conditions
Participate in data collection for quality improvement initiatives and clinical research as needed
Skills
Proven experience in psychiatry with a focus on pediatric psychiatry, geriatrics, or behavioral health preferred
Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology, psychotherapy modalities (psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy), and crisis management techniques
Experience working with patients with developmental disabilities or mental health conditions such as PTSD or addiction counseling
Familiarity with inpatient and outpatient clinical settings as well as telehealth platforms
Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations
Ability to conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations effectively
Proficiency in medical documentation and medical terminology within electronic health records systems
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information
Effective communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and engaging patients in their treatment plans
Post-residency experience is highly valued; prior clinic experience is advantageous
