About the Role
We are seeking a Chinese-speaking Marketing & Sales Assistant to support our existing marketing team and help expand the firm's presence within the Chinese-speaking community.
This role is not a leadership role. It is a hands-on execution role requiring the candidate to:
Follow marketing strategies created by the team
Execute tasks consistently and professionally
Support community outreach efforts
Help the firm enter and grow within the Chinese-speaking market
This role is ideal for a candidate who is:

All shortlisted candidates must complete a two-week voluntary work-shadowing period (on-site) to observe our workflow, understand our processes, and allow mutual assessment before any employment decision is made. This requirement is non-negotiable.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing & Sales Support
Assist the marketing team in implementing plans to build the firm's presence in the Chinese-speaking community.
Follow instructions closely and ensure all marketing activities comply with SRA regulations.
Handle client and enquiry calls professionally, providing a positive first impression.
Liaise between solicitors, staff, and prospective clients to support communication and follow-up.
Assist with day-to-day administrative and marketing tasks.
Content Creation & Social Media Management
Manage and grow the firm's Chinese-language social media presence, including:
Xiaohongshu (RED), WeChat, TikTok (Douyin), Facebook and Instagram
Create content (written, visual, and video) suitable for a law firm's brand tone.
Edit short-form videos explaining legal topics in a simple and engaging way.
Assist with the creation of graphics, brochures, and online promotional materials.
Post, monitor, and respond to engagement on Chinese social media channels.
Conduct research into Chinese-speaking communities in the UK to identify business opportunities.
Gather insights on client behaviours, community events, and potential partnerships.
Support the marketing team in exploring entry strategies for the Chinese market.
Proactively propose ideas and take action to help the firm become known in the community.
Administrative & Team Support
Assist with client communication, appointment booking, and message handling.
Support the legal team with basic admin tasks (printing, scanning, scheduling).
Provide feedback from Chinese-speaking clients to help improve marketing strategies.
Skills & Attributes Required for This RoleEssential
Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) and English.
Experience managing social media accounts including: Xiaohongshu, WeChat, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram
Authentic, proactive, self-motivated, and ambitious.
Strong interest in marketing within a professional services environment.
Ability to follow instructions and comply with regulatory requirements.
Willingness to learn, take feedback, and improve continuously.
Strong communication and public-facing skills (including appearing in videos).
Organised, detail-oriented, and able to prioritise tasks effectively.
Kind, collaborative, and able to work well in a small team.Preferable
Experience managing social media for a law firm, consultancy, or professional services business.
Graphic design or video editing skills (Canva, Adobe, CapCut, etc.).
Experience in marketing, sales, or client engagement.
Knowledge of Chinese community networks in the UK.
Previous involvement in community activities, outreach, or events.
