East Coast Construction (N.E.) Ltd is seeking a

time-served, experienced Mobile Plant Fitter

to join our team maintaining and repairing a wide range of construction plant and heavy machinery both on-site and in our workshop.

The Role

Carry out servicing, maintenance, fault finding and repairs on a range of heavy plant (excavators, dumpers, rollers, telehandlers, small tools etc). Attend breakdowns and complete on-site diagnostics and repairs. Diagnose and repair faults in hydraulic, mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems. Prepare accurate maintenance records, job cards and compliance reports (using digital systems - training provided). Maintain workshop van, tools and equipment to high standards. Ensure safe working practices are followed at all times.

About You

We are only seeking

experienced plant fitters

with proven plant or heavy machinery backgrounds. Please only apply if you meet the following minimum:

Time-served apprenticeship

or equivalent mechanical qualification.

Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience

working on construction plant, HGV, or agricultural machinery. Strong knowledge of hydraulics, engines, transmissions, and electrical fault finding. Confident in diagnosing faults and carrying out full repairs / rebuilds. Full UK driving licence (HGV an advantage). Safety-conscious, reliable and able to work independently.

Desirable

NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds Part 3 in Mobile Plant Maintenance (or equivalent). NVQ/City & Guilds in Plant or Mechanical Engineering. Familiarity with multiple plant brands and models. CPCS / CSCS Cards
