Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods from our depo to various locations across London, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction through efficient service and effective communication.

Duties

Operate delivery vehicles, including vans and lorries, to transport goods safely and efficiently. Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling of heavy lifting tasks. Navigate routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations. Communicate with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the delivery vehicle. Complete necessary paperwork related to deliveries, including delivery confirmations and inventory logs. Collaborate with team members in the warehouse as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Experience

Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety practices is advantageous. Experience in warehouse operations is a plus, particularly in loading and unloading procedures. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and team members effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the role is required.
