We are seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our team as a Coach. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality coaching programmes within various primary schools across Northern Ireland, fostering a love for physical activity and promoting a healthy lifestyle among students. This role requires a combination of coaching expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate students to participate in a variety of sports.

The core objectives of the Healthy Kidz programme are to support actions which:

Improve the physical fitness of all children taking part. Create an engaging, inclusive, and fun environment. Develop each child's health holistically inside and outside of the PE lesson. Promote healthy eating and daily exercise to every child and their families.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Carry out a variety of coaching multi sports programmes within our schools. Lead sessions, providing clear instructions and demonstrations. Assist with the planning, delivery and coordination of the Healthy Kidz programme including PE lessons, afterschool sessions and holiday camps. Assist with the marketing and promotion of all activities and events associated with the programme. Collaborate with school staff and teachers to ensure a seamless integration of sports programs within the school's educational framework. Cooperate fully and attend any essential training that is required to develop knowledge, techniques and skills relevant to post. Monitor and assess participants progress, adjusting programs as needed to ensure continuous improvement. Inspire and motivate participants to adopt and maintain an active and healthy lifestyle. Create a positive and inclusive environment that encourages students of all abilities to participate in sports activities. Have a clear understanding of the background, vision and overall package that is Healthy Kidz. Communicate clearly with management and fellow coaches. Whether this is to be done via 1 to 1, small group meets, email, calls and messaging. Ensure sessions is up to required high standard based on assessments. Complete an Enhanced Access NI check. Keep an inventory of equipment and carry out regular equipment check and report any faults. Always have the correct clothing on. Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all participants. Be responsible for ensuring prompt reporting and recording of all accidents, incidents or dangerous occurrences.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS



1 year experience in delivering coaching sessions with both adults and young people. Register of Exercise Professional's (REP) recognised level 2 Fitness qualification or equivalent. Two Foundation coaching qualifications or equivalent. Enhanced Access NI checks completed. Completed a Safeguarding Course. Strong knowledge of nutrition, and health. Ability to coach a range of sports/activities. Experience in delivering lessons in a school environment. A recognised first aid qualification. Full clean driving licence with access to own vehicle.
