We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Nights Senior Carer / Team Lead to join our compassionate care team. In this vital role, you will oversee overnight caregiving operations, ensuring the highest standards of resident care and safety. As a leader on the night shift, you will coordinate and supervise care staff, manage daily routines, and foster a warm, supportive environment for residents. Your proactive approach and leadership skills will help maintain smooth operations, promote team cohesion, and deliver exceptional care experiences.

Duties



Lead and supervise night shift care staff, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high-quality resident care Coordinate nightly routines including medication administration, personal hygiene assistance, mobility support, and safety checks Oversee resident wellbeing, promptly addressing any concerns or emergencies with clarity and professionalism Conduct thorough handovers with the incoming day team to ensure continuity of care Monitor staff performance, provide training & development opportunities, and promote adherence to care plans and safety protocols Manage documentation accurately, including incident reports, care records, and shift logs Maintain a safe environment by conducting regular safety checks and ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations Support recruitment efforts by participating in interviews and onboarding new team members Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll processing, inventory management of supplies, and record keeping Foster a positive team culture through effective communication, motivation, and recognition of staff achievements

Requirements



Proven experience in senior caregiving roles or supervisory positions within healthcare or residential care settings Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, staff, and external professionals Knowledge of medication management protocols and resident safety procedures Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently Organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities during night shifts Basic proficiency in administrative tasks such as record keeping, payroll processing, inventory control, and scheduling Flexibility to work overnight hours consistently as part of the night shift schedule Compassionate attitude with a genuine commitment to enhancing residents' quality of life
Nice-to-have skills include multilingual abilities or bilingual proficiency for effective communication with diverse residents; experience in training & development; familiarity with budgeting or financial management; proficiency in using management software or POS systems; knowledge of healthcare regulations; and previous assistant manager experience. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 16.49-17.02 per hour

Expected hours: 30.62 per week
