You will be an experienced Independent Prescriber with experience of

working within the Substance Misuse field. Based at Shrublands House.

Working as an Independently prescribe medication, including controlled drugs, for service

users in line with policy, best practice, the evidence base and within scope of

practice.



You will provide assessment, diagnosis and ongoing

management and evaluation of treatment interventions for service users with alcohol

and drug dependency issues. You will regularly carry out duty prescribing

cover and will offer support when required to prescribe and review community

alcohol detoxes.

Specialist prescribing of controlled drugs to a high risk cohort of individuals who may be using illicit drugs and medications on a daily basis Provide assessment, diagnosis and ongoing management and evaluation of treatment interventions for service users with alcohol and drug dependency issues Independently prescribe medication, including controlled drugs, for service users in line with policy, best practice, the evidence base and within scope of practice, ensuring cost effectiveness
