Salary:

14.00 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience)

Per Annum:

26,936.00

Hours Required:

37 hours per week

4 Days Required:

Monday Wednesday Thursday Friday

Shift Pattern Times:

8-6 with 45 minutes break

Contract:

Permanent

Pre School Children:

To work with age range 2-5-year-olds

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic

Third in Charge / Senior Nursery Practitioner

to join our friendly and dedicated team in Farnborough.

As the Third in Charge, you will support the

Nursery Manager

and

Deputy Manager

in the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring that high standards of care, safety, and early education are maintained. You will act as a role model to staff, promote best practice across the setting, and lead by example in delivering high-quality childcare in line with the

EYFS framework

.

Key Responsibilities

Support the management team with the smooth daily running of the nursery Ensure the highest standards of care, learning, and safety for all children Oversee and mentor room staff, providing guidance and motivation Take charge of the nursery in the absence of the Manager or Deputy Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities following the EYFS Maintain accurate records and ensure all policies and procedures are followed Build positive relationships with parents, staff, and external agencies

Requirements

Minimum

Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification

(or equivalent) Previous experience in a

Senior Nursery Practitioner, Room Leader

, or

Third in Charge

role Sound knowledge of the

EYFS

and

Safeguarding

frameworks Confident leadership and communication skills Enhanced

DBS

(on the Update Service preferred) Eligibility to work in the UK
