Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to take up an exciting and innovative post to support the needs of the local population living with a wide range of mental health difficulties. The role holder will provide operational management to Rotherham care group's Older People's Community Mental Health team. The OP CMHT Team manager will work in a collaborative and multi-agency way and develop multiagency and multidisciplinary operational frameworks and structures.



This role provides expert operational and clinical leadership and knowledge within the teams, for staff, patients and carers. The role will work with with a variety of roles including Nurse Consultants, OTs, Healthcare support workers, medics and other external and internal stakeholders.



To be responsible for the operational management of the Older People's Community Mental Health team and to support Transformation and service development.



Provide strong leadership for all staff within the Older People's services by



Promoting and maintaining a quality environment



Ensuring agreed standards of care are achieved



Improve patient experience, and

achieve all performance targets relating to the teams



Effective communication, risk management and considered risk taking.



To provide expert clinical and management advice and guidance for staff and external stakeholders.



To focus care on Quality and Clinical Assurance as outlined in the key roles and responsibilities for clinical

services.



To be responsible for coordinating staff training to achieve quality and evidence based interventions based upon a skills/training analysis. To arrange and coordinate training for staff on various relevant clinical skills.



To undertake investigations in line with the relevant organisational policy (e.g. complaints,Incidents, Serious Incidents, Structured Judgement Reviews, HR investigations).
