We are looking for an Ophthalmic Imager and Analyst to support the acquisition and analysis of ophthalmic imaging for clinical research studies at the University of Edinburgh. The post-holder will be required to operate a number of imaging machines including scanning laser ophthalmoscopes, fundus cameras and optical coherence tomography machines. The role will also involve conducting eye-imaging assessments, communicating with study participants and liaising with study teams. In addition, the post holder will contribute to the measurement of images using specialist software following predefined protocols.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns.
The salary for this post is
29,588 to 33,951
per annum.
Your skills and attributes for success:
Qualified in a subject relevant to the post (e.g., optometry, medical photography, a biological science or other relevant scientific discipline)
Experience in operating technical equipment and examining patients within a clinical/ophthalmic/imaging setting
Good analytical skills
Flexibility and the ability to work as part of a team.
Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
Ability to work to deadlines and use own initiative to complete key tasks.
