About the Role



Shaptor is a property Development company based in Blackheath. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting principles, Advanced proficiency in Xero and Excel is a must along with an obsession for accurate financial reporting. You will be supporting both ongoing internal bookkeeping processes and also project finances. This role allows flexible working and is ideal for someone looking for the challenge of an interesting role with potential growth opportunities, that fits within school hours or other commitments.

Key Responsibilities



Maintain accurate financial records Bank reconciling within Xero Support colleagues with project cost tracking Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports using Xero, and present findings to internal stakeholders as required Use

advanced Xero accounting software

to manage day-to-day bookkeeping and reporting tasks. Utilise

intermediate to advanced Excel skills

(e.g. pivot tables, data visualisation) for financial analysis and reporting. Manage relations with external accountants to support audits, tax filings, and year-end processes. Support colleagues with budgeting and forecasting activities. Interest in improving financial processes and systems.

Requirements



Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Professional certification (e.g. AAT, ACCA part-qualified). Advanced knowledge of

Xero

and strong proficiency in

Microsoft Excel

. Experience managing relationships with external accountants or auditors. Proven experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly and confidently.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Temp to perm

Pay: 25,000.00-30,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 16 - 20 per week
