Part-Time Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) - Consulting Nurse

Green Pastures Veterinary Centre - Weston-Super-Mare (South Bristol)

We are seeking a highly motivated, compassionate, and skilled Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our team as a dedicated Consulting Nurse. This is a Part-Time role, offering an excellent work-life balance while allowing you to utilise your full range of clinical and client-facing skills. The Nurse is essential in promoting preventative healthcare, client education, and the continuous management of chronic patient conditions, ensuring the highest standards of care.

We are a large and busy independent 24hr First Opinion Practice with separate Canine and Feline facilities. The position is structured as 30 hours per week, working 6 hours per day, 5 days per week,

this could be considered to fit around school hours.

This may be open to discussion for the right candidate. Under the support of the Head Nurse and the Deputy, the Consulting Nurse will be involved in the development of more nurse led clinics, including but not limited to:

Weight Management Clinics Senior Pet/Geriatric Clinics Post-Operative Checks and Suture Removals Chronic Disease Management (e.g., Diabetic monitoring, Arthritis support) Laser Therapy treatments Flea, Tick, and Worming Consultations Dental Checks and preventative care advice Puppy and Kitten Wellness Checks/Socialisation Advice Vaccinations Nutrition and Dietary Counselling
Requirements

Must be a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) and be registered with the RCVS. Proven experience in running or assisting with nurse-led clinics/consultations is desirable. Excellent communication skills, with an ability to build strong rapport with clients and provide clear, empathetic advice. Strong organisational and time management skills to effectively manage a consultation schedule. A genuine passion for preventative healthcare and client education.
