Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering and related construction skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This role involves applying plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces, ensuring a smooth and professional finish. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality workmanship are essential.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, smoothing, and applying bonding agents as necessary. Mix plaster according to specifications to achieve the desired consistency. Apply plaster using hand tools and power tools, ensuring an even application across various surfaces. Finish surfaces by sanding or smoothing as required, achieving a high-quality finish. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and bricklayers, to ensure seamless integration of plasterwork with other construction elements. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, performing basic repairs as needed. Adhere to health and safety regulations on site at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to plastering tasks. Knowledge of masonry techniques and bricklaying is advantageous. Ability to work at heights, including on roofs when necessary. Strong attention to detail with excellent finishing skills. Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials when required. A valid driver's licence is preferred but not essential.
