About the role





We are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Controller to join our team as a maternity cover for 12 months. This role is key in ensuring that our finance and operations teams have accurate cost information and that our suppliers are paid on time.




Key Responsabilities:





Working in our small, collaborative Finance Team, you will be responsible for the following:




1.

Invoice Processing





o Accurately processing high volumes of invoices (~1000 per month)



o Ensuring correct approvals are gathered



o Managing the Invoices Inbox



o Updating the Invoice Tracker used by the site General Managers to report and resolve discrepancies or queries




2.

Payment Runs





o Processing monthly supplier payments



o Processing monthly and quarterly Rent & Service Charge payments



o Ad Hoc manual payment requests




3.

Purchase Ledger Maintenance





o Keep supplier details up to date on the accounting system



o Report on aged creditors monthly with comments



o Identify and proactively manage any backlog or build-up of issues




4.

Supplier Relationships





o Maintain strong relationships with suppliers



o Reconcile supplier statements promptly



o Resolve queries with suppliers and internal colleagues




5.

Provide support and training

to the business on invoice approval processes and migration to a new document management system




What We're Looking For




Purchase ledger experience (3+ years) Multi site, high volume of invoices (hospitality preferable) Excel proficiency (lookup formula, pivot tables, etc) Experience in managing a busy email inbox Excellent communication skills Finance system experience (Aqilla preferred)
