Job Description
We are a small family run children's nursery who have been open since 2001, we work in partnership with Midlothian Council offering funded hours to all 3 to 5 year olds and eligible 2 year olds as well.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and knowledgeable individual to join our team with a background in working with children with ASN. We offer a competitive rate of pay as well as a full hour for lunch.
Requirements:
Must have a relevant childcare qualification (e.g., HNC or SVQ Level 3 in Childcare).
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a nursery or childcare setting. Have experience in working with children with ASN. Have knowledge/understanding of using Up, up & away document & signalong Strong knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead and motivate a team.Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team.
- Create and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children in the playroom.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the playroom.
- Maintain a clean and organised nursery environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and provide regular updates on their child's progress.
- Collaborate with other room leaders and staff members to ensure a cohesive and positive nursery experience.
