The Role
You'll lead on business development and employer engagement, growing our client base while shaping inclusive hiring pathways within the SME space. This is a 360 commercial-and-impact role: you'll win new clients, nurture partnerships, and work with our delivery team to place and retain great people.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
Identify, prospect and convert new employer clients across multiple sectors.
Manage the full sales cycle (lead generation ? pitch ? terms ? onboarding).
Negotiate commercial terms and maintain accurate CRM records.
Employer Engagement & Delivery
Build long-term partnerships that create sustainable job opportunities.
Consult on inclusive recruitment practices and workforce planning.
Match candidates to roles with our internal support teams.
Guide employers on onboarding, reasonable adjustments and retention.
Organise employer events, briefings and networking sessions.
Track vacancies, placements, retention and social-impact outcomes.
Report progress to management and contribute to continuous improvement.
About You
You're energetic, target-driven and purpose-led -- equally comfortable closing a deal and coaching a manager on inclusive hiring.
Essential:
Proven B2B sales / recruitment / business development success.
Strong communication, networking and relationship-building skills.
Confident pitching to decision-makers and negotiating terms.
Understanding of recruitment processes and employer needs.
KPI mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
Able to work independently and collaborate within a delivery team.
Relevant backgrounds
MAY
include: Recruitment/HR/Talent Acquisition, Employability & skills programmes (Restart, DWP), Supported employment / social care / Education & careers services (FE/HE), CSR/ESG & third sector, Account management / sales, Public sector skills & workforce partnerships.
Desirable:
Knowledge of Access to Work and other funding/support schemes.
Event/workshop delivery and employer engagement experience.
Project or programme coordination experience.
