Registered Children's Home Manager



Salary:

49,159 per annum + 10,000 annual performance bonus



Ofsted Rating:

Good (as of January 2025)



We are seeking a passionate, resilient, and experienced manager to lead our established children's home in Bicester. The home is registered to support 3 children, in partnership with Oxfordshire County Council.



This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a lasting difference in the life of vulnerable young people. We are looking for a manager who can confidently navigate high pressure situations while maintaining a therapeutic, child-centred approach.



This role requires someone with vision, dedication, and emotional intelligence - someone who is ready to throw themselves into the role, see the long-term goals for the child, and lead a team with compassion and clarity.



Home Overview:



Lilac House supports children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties and is currently home to 3 settled children whom together with the staff team have built a calm, happy, and homely environment we they feel safe and cared for. Our children love taking part in a variety of actives both in the home and out in the community such as cinema, bowling, swimming, parks etc



Rated Good by Ofsted, this is a home where relationships are at the heart of everything we do. Our dedicated team work hard to create a nurturing space where every child feels valued, listened to, and understood.



Situated in Bicester, Oxfordshire, OX26 the home is within easy reach of local amenities and community facilities as well as all motorway links.

The Registered Home Manager's leadership will guide the home forward towards ensuring a secure, safe, and motivating environment for both the children and young people in their care and staffing team, fostering an atmosphere where they can thrive.



What you'll bring:



QCF level 5 in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare or willing to work towards.



Minimum of 2 years recent experience working in a care setting in a supervisory role.



Thorough understanding of the regulations and legislations which set the standards within a Children's Home setting



Knowledge of Ofsted regulations.



Ability to work closely with Responsible Individual and key individuals within the strategic partnership



Full UK Driving Licence



Passionate about supporting vulnerable children.
