Bank Residential Childcare Workers
to join a therapeutic residential setting in Brighton. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in
trauma-informed residential childcare
, supporting children with social, emotional, and behavioural needs (SEMH).
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality care and emotional support to children with complex needs.
Help create a safe, nurturing, and homely environment.
Support children's education, routines, and positive development.
Encourage healthy relationships and positive behaviour.
Assist with household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and daily activities.
Maintain accurate records and follow care plans.
Work collaboratively as part of a supportive, reflective team.
Requirements:
Experience (paid or voluntary) working with children, young people, or vulnerable groups.
Understanding of trauma, attachment, and therapeutic approaches to care.
Good communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends
(Desirable) Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent, and/or a full UK driving licence.
Comprehensive training and support are provided, with opportunities for ongoing professional development.
All posts are subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
A current Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service is preferred.
