Location:

Remote with regular travel across Greater London and neighbouring counties

Salary:

50,000 to 65,000 per annum including performance bonus

Contract:

Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

Monday to Friday

Responsible Individual and Operations Manager role within Children's Residential Care in London



We are seeking an experienced Responsible Individual and Operations Manager to oversee and support Ofsted-registered children's residential homes across Greater London and surrounding counties. This senior Responsible Individual and Operations Manager opportunity provides the chance to enhance service quality, provide strategic operational leadership, and drive positive outcomes for children and young people.

This is a vital leadership position for a skilled Operations Manager or Responsible Individual who is committed to ensuring high-quality care, strong compliance, and a culture of professional excellence.

Key Responsibilities for the Responsible Individual / Operations Manager



Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards Provide consultancy, mentoring, and coaching to Registered Managers to improve performance Lead safeguarding across services and maintain a safe, transparent culture Drive Ofsted inspection readiness, targeting Good and Outstanding ratings Support operational functions including staffing, budgets, and resource planning Maintain strong working relationships with local authorities and regulatory partners Lead staff development initiatives and continuous performance improvement Promote a reflective, learning-focused approach that drives high standards of care

About You



At least three years' senior Responsible Individual, Operations Manager, or leadership experience in children's residential care NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent/working towards) Strong knowledge of safeguarding and Ofsted frameworks Clear communication skills with the ability to influence and lead multiple services Proven experience achieving positive inspection outcomes and service improvement Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Greater London and bordering counties Dedicated to delivering outstanding outcomes for children and young people
