The Post Separation Co-ordinator will support the development and integration of the West Wales Post Separation Abuse Project (Road to Recovery) across the services of Carmarthen Domestic Abuse Services and West Wales Domestic Abuse Services. This is a new project commissioned by the National Lottery Community Fund.
The post-holder will be required to travel across Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion and adjoining counties and work in partnership to develop the new provision of specialist post-separation domestic abuse support services.
The post-holder will support the development and promotion of a needs-led service model that supports individuals and families to achieve independence and freedom.
This post is open to women only under the Equality Act 2010 pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1, which includes applicants with lived experience of being a woman.
Qualifications
1. A relevant qualification or equivalent experience (e.g. management and leadership) with a particular focus on the women's sector/community and voluntary sector
2 . Knowledge and understanding of the gendered nature of violence against women, especially domestic violence and abuse, and issues relating to it.
3. A good knowledge and understanding of organisational systems and frameworks, line management and project management
4. A sound knowledge of adult and children safeguarding principles
5. A good understanding of the experiences and needs of survivors of VAWDASV including adults, children & young people
6. Good understanding of criminal and family justice system and public sector environment in which services operate
EXPERIENCE
7. Experience of performance management, supervision of staff, and effective staff management.
8. Minimum of 2 years' experience of working within the third sector or community-based development services
9. Experience of work with women and/or children with a complex range of needs, risk assessing, needs assessing and safety and support planning.
10. Experience of establishing strong relationships and networks. liaising and working with other organisations and agencies in partnership.
11. Experience of managing databases.
12. Experience of working as a member of a team and lone working.
13. Experience of securing funding through commissioned and/or grant funding and engaging/working with funders and/or commissioners.
14. Experience of coordinating meetings.
15. Management of stakeholders/partners who are geographically dispersed.
16. Experience of managing projects within a set timeframe and with clear outputs/outcomes and achieving positive outcomes.
17. Experience of managing and working within budgets.
18. Experience with report writing, contract management and financial reporting including analysis of outcomes, outputs and gaps
19. Experience of implementing quality assurance frameworks, monitoring, evaluating and measuring impact.
Proven experience in a similar role or environment is preferred.
Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
Strong analytical skills to evaluate situations and develop appropriate responses.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
A customer-focused attitude with an understanding of upselling techniques is an advantage.
