The highly successful, fast-paced and innovative Schools, Colleges and Outreach Team within Future Students is seeking to appoint a Schools, Colleges and Outreach Officer to support its liaison activities
with schools and colleges across the Southeast Wales region. The postholder will also support schools and colleges liaison activity for the University's Faculties, in particular, Sport within the Faculty of Life
Sciences and Education, and subjects within the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Science.
Reporting to the Senior Schools, Colleges and Outreach Officer, the role will involve delivering engaging presentations to large audiences of students, parents, carers and teachers, as well as organising events that provide school and college students with an insight into studying and student life at the University of South Wales.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and confident communicator who is passionate about promoting the University of South Wales and inspiring future students. The postholder will work within a dynamic team and gain valuable experience across a range of student recruitment and marketing activities.
A key aspect of the role will be to develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, demonstrate creativity and initiative, and have experience in delivering activities for young people and prospective students. Flexibility, a proactive approach and a strong work ethic are essential.
This position is based at Pontypridd Campus, Treforest of the University of South Wales, however the post-holder will be expected to work from home and from other campuses when required. Please note that extensive travel is required as part of this role, and the post-holder will be required to work weekends and evenings.
