About the Role: SEN / SEND Tutor

This opportunity is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers passionate about providing 1:1 tutoring to children and young people with varying learning needs. Using a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed approach, you will inspire engagement and positively transform their educational journeys.

Key Details of the Role

Contract:

35-40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

Deliver Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), or other Additional Educational Needs.

Approach:

Provide support through flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring tailored to each young person's unique needs.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Develop bespoke lesson plans that cater to individual learning requirements. Deliver engaging, holistic sessions to support both educational and social-emotional development. Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on the progress of each young person.

Requirements:

Professional teaching qualifications (e.g., Qualified Teacher Status / QTS / QTLS). A minimum of two years' teaching experience. Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs. Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding procedures. An enhanced DBS check. Two professional references. Residency and the right to work in the UK. A commitment to promoting the health, safety, and wellbeing of children and young people, with strict adherence to safeguarding policies and procedures.
