To assist the Money Laundering Compliance Officer ("MLCO") and Money Laundering Reporting Officer ("MLRO") in all aspects of the administration and management of Gen II's Financial Crime Compliance activities. The Senior FCC Administrator will work independently and will be able to efficiently support the MLCO and MLRO in execution of BAU tasks, to include the ongoing diligent administration of the overnight screening, and the effective management of AML/CFT/CPF risks to which Gen II is subject.
What you'll be doing
Assist the MLRO and MLCO in execution of their responsibilities, including ad-hoc projects as required
Maintenance of records and registers related to AML / CFT / CPF to include supporting the MLRO in the maintenance of the Suspicious Activity Report ("SAR") register
Assist the MLRO with undertaking investigations relating to iSARs
To support the preparation of regular, effective accurate and timely reporting and metrics on AML / CFT / CPF matters
Assist with reviewing alerts arising as a result of the overnight batch screening, discounting false positives where identified, and distribution of potential matches to 1st line for assessment and provision of reporting as required on performance of screening activities
Perform ad hoc screening searches to include sanctions, adverse media and enhanced risk indicators as required
Assist with regularly updating the Country Risk List and Equivalent Jurisdiction using the relevant methodology, involving relevant stakeholders as necessary and updating relevant fields in NavOne
Oversee the weekly Overdue AML Training report, notifying the FCC Director of relevant deficiencies. Ensure AML training assigned to new joiners is completed within 10 days.
Provide day to day advisory support on AML / CFT / CPF matters in areas of responsibility to include, but not limited to, the monitoring of the FCC inbox and responding to AML queries
Review and assessment of NavOne activities to include general compliance activities
Support the MLRO and MLCO, as appropriate, in the development and maintenance of procedures to ensure that they are robust, adequate and in compliance with the relevant legislation, orders and codes of practice to include AML / CFT / CPF regulations and sanctions, including mapping changes to legislation /regulation to internal policies and procedures
Monitoring regulatory AML / CFT / CPF change impacting Gen II and its clients to include Sanctions
Pro-actively take on additional responsibilities and administration tasks as required in support of the MLCO and MLRO
Supporting the MLCO and MLRO in the execution of the Gen II AML / CFT / CPF strategy
Assist with the completion of the AML / CFT / CPF Compliance Monitoring Programme
To promote and engender an 'open-door' culture and understanding of the benefits of risk management, best compliance, anti-money laundering and financial crime prevention practice
The ideal background for this role:
Relevant finance industry experience
Relevant Financial Crime Compliance qualification desirable
Experience within a compliance environment
Knowledge of the AML / CPF / CPF Legislation and regulation
Knowledge and understanding of the local finance industry and regulatory requirements in which we operate
An understanding of Risk Management
Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office
Strong communication skills
Role Location/Hybrid Schedule
This role is based in our Jersey office. Although the nature of most of the roles within Gen II cannot be classed as totally flexible, there is scope in some cases for a form of Agile Working. The different ways in which Agile Working can be undertaken is dependent on the demands and needs of the business, the office space available and the individual's preferences and circumstances.
