to join our Specialised Finance Risk team within the Corporate & Investment Bank. In this high-impact 2nd Line of Defence role, you'll oversee complex securitisation and asset-backed finance credit risk across global markets, shape deal structuring, and guide strategic underwriting decisions.

Key Responsibilities Manage credit risk across asset-backed financing, securitisation, warehousing, and traded ABS portfolios.
Lead deal screening, due diligence, structuring feedback, and independent risk recommendations.
Review and approve 1LoD credit applications and ratings, ensuring risk appetite alignment.
Monitor portfolio, identify risks, conduct stress tests, and drive Early Alert actions.
Present reviews and risk insights to senior 1LoD and 2LoD stakeholders.
Partner with business teams to meet revenue goals while ensuring credit discipline.
Strengthen governance, regulatory compliance, policy adherence, and controls.
Represent Specialised Finance Risk in meetings, due diligence, committees, and forums.
Support initiatives to improve frameworks, reporting, and efficiency.
Mentor juniors and build risk awareness organisation-wide.
Skills and Qualifications
Skills
Expertise in securitisation, asset-backed finance, and structured credit (ABS, RMBS, CMBS, CLO, ABF, ABL, warehouses).
Strong credit risk judgement and decisive opinion under pressure.
Advanced structuring, financial analysis, stress testing, and portfolio monitoring.
Translate complex risks into clear recommendations.
Proven ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
Strong engagement across 1LoD, 2LoD, and geographies.
Solid knowledge of credit documentation, underwriting, and regulations.
Experience managing complex counterparties across regions and assets.
Insight into market risk, governance, and enterprise risk.
Experience in policy, control, and portfolio standards.
Familiar with PRA/FCA requirements and MRT roles.
Cross-cultural collaboration and global teamwork.
Qualifications
University degree or equivalent.
Extensive securitisation, structured finance, or asset-backed lending experience--ideally in investment banking.
Strong English communication (written and verbal).
Proven leadership, influence, and independent work contributing to team success.
