An existing opportunity to work with a growing Design and Build contractor in London. We collaborate closely with contractors, architects, project managers, and engineers to deliver various projects, from private residential to more significant corporate developments. We ensure each project meets high standards within budget and timeframe while staying updated with industry advancements.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily financial updates and data entries in QuickBooks and Excel.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all transactions.
Reconcile bank statements, supplier invoices, and project costs regularly.
Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and financial reports.
Handle VAT returns, PAYE, and CIS, and liaise directly with HMRC for submissions and queries.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and project cost control.
Oversee procurement, including supplier payments and subcontractor accounts.
Maintain strong financial controls and assist with process improvements.
Requirements
6+ years of finance experience, ideally within construction, architecture, or design & build.
Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (essential).
Strong understanding of HMRC compliance -- VAT, PAYE, CIS.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in daily financial data entry.
Strong analytical and reporting skills.
ACCA / CIMA / ACA qualified or part-qualified (preferred).
Confident communicator with strong organizational skills and initiative.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 30,000.00-40,000.00 per year
