We're seeking an experienced

Senior Health & Safety Manager

to lead our safety strategy and compliance across all operational and maintenance activities in Greater London. This is a key leadership role within our organisation, offering the opportunity to shape our approach to health, safety, and wellbeing across high-profile construction and maintenance projects.

Responsibilities



Lead, mentor, and develop the Health & Safety team, fostering a proactive safety culture. Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations and ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001). Conduct audits, risk assessments, workplace inspections, and root-cause investigations. Advise senior leadership on health, safety, environmental and compliance matters. Implement effective H&S policies, systems, and training across all project sites. Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies to maintain best practice and compliance. Drive continuous improvement and support the safe delivery of construction and M&E projects.

Qualifications & Experience



NEBOSH

General and/or Construction H&S certificate.

(E)

Accredited by a recognised industry body e.g.

TechIOSH/CertIOSH/MIIRSM

with full CPD records.

(E)

A track record of supervising/managing safety professionals and assisting their professional development.

(E)

Experience of working with or assessing construction methods/safe systems of work e.g.

mechanical, electrical and public health systems*.

(E)


Experience and understanding of complex investigations, including working with government agencies e.g. the Health and Safety Executive.

Track record of delivering on-site training to construction project teams.

Knowledge



NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) essential, with strong knowledge of UK

construction

and

M&E

safety regulations. Proven experience in a

senior H&S management role

within building services, construction, or engineering. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Experienced in managing

ISO 45001

,

ISO 9001

, and

ISO 14001

systems. Confident in incident investigation, risk management, and developing strategic safety plans. Flexible and proactive, with the ability to travel to sites across
