bout the Role




The role will support new and existing internship programmes and placement modules, including relationship management of employer partners, internal stakeholders, and reporting related to the relevant modules.


You will collaborate with colleagues on activities that enhance the quality and effectiveness of work-based learning at SOAS. Additionally, you will represent the service and institution to internal and external stakeholders.


We are recruiting for one full time permanent role. The postholder will join a team of around 14 Careers professionals, and be line managed by the Employer Engagement Manager.


Your responsibilities will include:


Leadership of SOAS Careers' administrative and business development support for all Placement Module's and Placement Year's at SOAS. Leadership of the development and delivery of SOAS Careers' established Internship Programme Responsibility for institution-wide guidance on due diligence and health and safety in relation to work-based learning. Identification and engagement with potential internship and placement providers Keeping up-to date with current HE placement legislation, policy documents and good practice Developing and maintaining strategic relationships with colleagues, academic staff, administrative staff and other stakeholders.
